

Kids Social Capacity Building Program
Help your child build the confidence and skills to create meaningful friendships in a supportive, small-group environment. Our Kids Social Capacity Building Program is an evidence-based, clinician-led group designed for children who would benefit from support developing social confidence, communication, emotional regulation and positive peer relationships. Through engaging activities, guided play and practical skill-building, children have the opportunity to learn, practise and generalise important social skills in a safe and encouraging environment.
What children will learn Throughout the program, children will develop skills in: Making and maintaining friendships Communication and conversation skills Understanding emotions and self-regulation Cooperation, turn-taking and problem-solving Confidence, resilience and self-esteem Empathy, perspective-taking and understanding social cues Who is the program for? This program is suitable for children aged: 4–6 years 7–10 years Children are grouped by age and developmental stage to provide the best opportunity for learning, participation and connection.
This program may benefit children who: Find it difficult to make or maintain friendships Experience social anxiety or low confidence Need support understanding emotions or managing big feelings Would benefit from developing communication and conversation skills Are learning to work collaboratively, take turns and solve problems with peers Would thrive in a small, supportive group environment Program Details
Location: GBY Therapy Adelaide Clinic (In Person) Duration: 8-week program Session Length: Weekly 60-minute sessions
Group Size: Minimum 4 and maximum 8 children Places are intentionally limited to ensure every child receives individualised support Investment $95 per child, per session $760 for the full 8-week program What's Included Eight 60-minute clinician-led group sessions Evidence-based social and emotional capacity building activities Individualised support within the group setting Parent handouts with practical strategies to continue learning at home End-of-program progress summary and recommendations
Our Approach
At GBY Therapy, we understand that every child is unique. Our Kids Social Capacity Building Program uses a child-centred, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to help children build confidence, emotional regulation and social connection in a way that feels safe, engaging and enjoyable.
Sessions combine structured teaching, guided play, interactive games, role-play and collaborative activities, allowing children to learn, practise and apply new skills in real-life social situations. We focus on recognising each child's strengths while gently supporting areas of growth, creating opportunities for success and building confidence that extends beyond the therapy room.

The group will not commence until a minimum of 4 registrations have been confirmed.
Payments are non-refundable in the event of a change of mind or withdrawal from the group.
Once the minimum number of registrations has been reached and the group is ready to commence, your facilitator will be in touch with further details regarding the start date and session arrangements.
