Terms and Conditions – Youth Mental Health First Aid (YMHFA) Course
1. Course Enrolment
By enrolling in the Youth Mental Health First Aid course provided by GBY Therapy, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
2. Course Fees and Payment
All course fees must be paid in full at the time of registration unless otherwise arranged in writing.
Early bird pricing is only valid until the advertised cut-off date. After this time, standard fees will apply.
The course fee includes: access to the online eLearning module, printed course manual (posted to the participant), and access to the live, instructor-led online session.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
Full refunds are available if cancellation is made at least 10 calendar days prior to the scheduled course date.
Cancellations made less than 10 days before the course date are not eligible for a refund. However, a transfer to a future course date may be offered at the discretion of the provider.
No refunds will be issued for non-attendance or failure to complete the online eLearning module before the live session.
Refund requests must be submitted in writing to [your email address] and will be processed within 10 business days.
4. Transfer of Registration
You may request to transfer your registration to a different course date, provided there is availability and the request is made at least 7 days prior to your original course date.
Only one transfer is permitted per registration.
5. Course Requirements
This is a blended course requiring approximately 5–7 hours of self-paced online eLearning to be completed before attending the live online session.
A printed manual is required for participation. Participants must provide an accurate postal address during registration to ensure timely delivery.
Participants who do not complete the eLearning component will not be eligible to attend the live session or receive accreditation.
6. Respectful Participation
All participants are expected to engage respectfully and professionally throughout the course, both in online interactions and during the live training session.
Disruptive, discriminatory, or disrespectful behaviour may result in removal from the course without refund.
The course environment prioritises safety, inclusion, and the mental wellbeing of all participants.
7. Accreditation and Certification
Successful completion of both the eLearning and live session is required to receive certification.
Certification is issued by Mental Health First Aid Australia and is valid for 5 years.
8. Consumer Rights
These Terms and Conditions are in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL). As a consumer, you are entitled to certain guarantees, including that services will be provided with acceptable care and skill, will be fit for the purpose disclosed, and delivered within a reasonable timeframe.
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits your rights under the ACL.
